Hanging Guidance

Tuff Stuff can be hung either using paste the wall technique or ‘traditionally’ by pasting pre-cut lengths if preferred.
NB: Either side can be pasted but always use the same side throughout the project.

PASTE THE WALL TECHNIQUE

1. Mark a guideline for the first length with the aid of a spirit level or plumbline (on walls). Please note: the Tuff Stuff may be hung vertically or horizontally.

2. Apply adhesive directly to the wall or ceiling surface with a roller. Apply enough adhesive for one or two lengths at a time ensuring the area pasted exceeds the width required. Use a brush to apply paste to areas the roller cannot reach.

3. Hang the Tuff Stuff directly from the roll onto the pre-pasted surface or apply pre-cut lengths if preferred. Apply the first length to the guideline and smooth out with a ‘wallpaper smoother’ or ‘wallpaper brush’. Trim the edges to fit

4. Butt joint all subsequent lengths, avoid overlapping.

5. Allow to dry thoroughly before painting or application of decorative wallpaper. Twenty four hours is normally sufficient but considerably longer time may be necessary in some circumstances.

TRADITIONAL TECHNIQUE

If preferred, pre-cut lengths can be pasted individually and then applied to the wall – missing out steps 2 and 3 above. Simply apply the fi rst length to the guideline and smooth out with a ‘wallpaper smoother’ or ‘wallpaper brush’.

Please note: There is no need to observe any soaking time – each pre-pasted length can be applied to the wall or ceiling immediately if required

Delivery
