Upgrade behind-the-radiator wall performance with this optimised insulation roll: 50 cm wide by 5 m long (covering approx. 2.5 m²) and made of a 4 mm thick polystyrene core laminated to reflective aluminium foil.
- Highly reflective surface: The foil facing helps reflect up to 95% of radiant heat into the room rather than into the wall cavity.
- Thermal efficiency improvement: Designed specifically for placement behind radiators (or similarly positioned heating appliances), this roll can reduce heat loss through the wall by up to 16%.
- Convenient roll format: At 50 cm width and 5 m length, it provides a manageable size for cutting and fitting behind units without excess waste.
- Dual benefits: In addition to thermal reflection, the rigid polystyrene core helps cover minor wall imperfections and provides a lightweight backing substrate.
- Rooms with radiators mounted on cold external walls.
- Situations where you’re seeking faster warm-up times and less wasted heat.
- Retrofitting older build walls without major structural insulation changes.
- Home offices, living rooms, bedrooms — wherever comfort and efficiency matter.
- Prepare the wall: clean, dry and free of loose particles.
- Measure and cut the roll to width and length required for the area behind the radiator.
- Fix the insulation using an appropriate adhesive designed for the product substrate. (Ensure the foil side faces outward into the room.)
- Beware that the aluminium foil is conductive: do not allow it to contact any exposed electrical wiring or live components.
- After fixing, re-install the radiator ensuring it is mounted securely and the insulation is not compressed by mounting brackets.
