1. Prepare the wall
Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and smooth. Remove any old wallpaper, fill imperfections, and sand if necessary.
2. Mark a vertical guideline
Use a spirit level to draw a straight line to help align your first strip.
3. Apply paste to the wall
Apply an even coat of wallpaper adhesive directly to the wall using a roller or brush, covering an area slightly wider than one strip.
4. Hang the wallpaper
Place the dry flat paper onto the pasted wall, aligning it with your guideline. Hang from top to bottom.
5. Smooth into place
Gently smooth the wallpaper using a brush or smoother, working from the centre outward to remove air bubbles.
6. Trim edges
Trim excess paper at the top and bottom with a sharp blade.
7. Continue hanging
Apply each strip edge-to-edge, carefully matching the pattern where required.
8. Clean excess paste
Lightly wipe away any excess paste with a damp sponge before it dries.
