Overview

This versatile 280ml Wallrock Trade Quality Caulk is designed for sealing and filling gaps, cracks, and joints before decorating. It helps achieve a smooth, professional finish across a wide range of interior surfaces. The product is ideal for use in both domestic and professional decorating projects.

It is perfect for internal sealing around skirting boards, ceiling cornices, window frames, and door frames. It also works effectively on architraves and other interior fixtures requiring a neat finish. By filling gaps, it improves the overall appearance of painted or decorated surfaces.

The formulation is solvent-free, making it easy and safe to apply in enclosed indoor spaces. It provides excellent adhesion to most common building materials, including wood, plaster, and plasterboard. Once cured, it forms a durable and fully paintable finish suitable for most decorating needs.

The caulk has a flexible formulation that accommodates movement of up to approximately plus or minus ten percent. This flexibility helps reduce the risk of cracking caused by natural structural movement over time. It ensures a longer-lasting seal in areas subject to minor expansion and contraction.

Wallrock Trade Quality Caulk also improves comfort by sealing gaps that allow drafts and air leakage. It helps reduce dust ingress, contributing to cleaner and more comfortable interior environments. This can also support improved energy efficiency within the home.

Application is simple using a standard caulking gun for controlled and accurate dispensing. Surfaces should be clean, dry, and free from dust or loose debris before application. Tool the sealant smoothly to achieve a neat and professional-looking finish.

Allow adequate curing time before painting to ensure the best possible results. Store the product in a frost-free environment to maintain its quality and performance. Avoid exposure to freezing temperatures, which may affect its usability and consistency.

Cleaning & Storage

Wallrock Trade Quality Caulk.

Surrounding surface and tools can be cleaned with water. Store in dry conditions between 5 Dregrees and 25 Degrees Celcius. PROTECT FROM FROST when stored.

Coverage

Surrounding cartridge contains sufficient material to fill an open joint 6mm deep x 6mm wide and approximately 11 metres in length, excluding wastage.

Contains 1,2-benzisothiazol, 3(2H)-one & 2- Methyl, 1,2- thiszol – 3 (2H) -one. May produce an allergic reaction.

How To Apply

Surfaces must be clean and free from loose material, standing water or contaminants which may impair the bond. Non-porous surfaces such as aluminium should be cleaned with a suitable product. For application when some movement will be exhibited, i.e., construction joints, the minimum open joint dimension should be 6mm x 6mm, with the maximum dimensions being 25mm wide by 12mm deep.

Where larger open joints are found, depths can be reduced using backing strips or rods. NB: for areas of perimeter pointing where a fillet is to be applied, the minimum measurement across must be 10mm with a minimum depth of 6mm. Ensure joints are properly prepared and apply sealant firmly into the joint using an application gun. Always ensure a deep fill for best results.

One applied, the sealant can be tooled and formed to the required shape and finish. NB: A degree of natural shrinkage will occur as a result of drying, so it is advisable to apply the sealant slightly proud of the required level to allow for this.
